No more cast :) and no more Sara :(

There isn't really a whole lot to talk about this week. Coreena finally got her cast off. That is good. The bad part is that she can't hardly move her wrist because it was inactive for almost 2 months. The only other news I can think of is that my friend Sara Knoll is moving to South Carolina. She is going to work on a camp for troubled kids. The job seems like it would be fun (camping, hiking, canoeing, etc) except that you are responsible for a bunch of little brats who are there because they have a tendancy to cause problems. I don't know if I could take it. But, Sara is a better person than I am so I'm sure it will work out fine for her.

Next weekend is Coreena's birthday. We are going to a wedding reception/dance for some relative of hers that night. We might go out after that or perhaps the night before.

Oh the joys of Assessment Day

So tomorrow is Assessment Day at WSU. For those of you who don't know, Assessment Day is the one day a year that the students get off so they can tell the University what they think. What it means for me is a lot of stress. Our office puts on Assessment Day. More specifically, I work on developing the surveys that the students take. It may sound simple, but the system is quite complicated for the surveys to function properly. I won't get into the details because some of you may not want to fall asleep at your keyboards. Anyways, everyone in the office always starts freaking out a couple days before the big A-day. It's just a little tradition for our office. It just adds to the excitement. Luckily it only comes around once a year. I won't talk about any of the politics we had to put up with this year, because the last thing I need is for the president to read my blog and fire me for saying what I think about the whole mess.

A nice weekend

Well let's see here... This weekend was nice (as this post's title states... and yes, I like being redundant). I went home to visit my parents on Friday night/Saturday day. We went out to eat on Friday night. It was nice. Saturday morning my mom and I tried to go sledding on our fields; however, we didn't get going early enough so the snow was too melty and sticky by the time we were out there. Although my mom did pull me (on a tube) behind the 4-wheeler. That was fun. Saturday evening I went to LaCrosse to hang out with Coreena. We wandered around Barnes & Noble and the mall for a while. We then went home, ate, and watched "Mistic River". It was a pretty good movie. On Sunday we pretty much just layed around all day (except for grocery shopping). We watched the movie "Enough" and the last half of the super bowl. I can't really think of much else.

Oh, I think I mentioned in a previous post that Coreena and I had considered going to a comedy show. I'm not sure if I ever said that we didn't go. That was the weekend of the "blizzard". Not that any of you really care, but whatever. I'm going to go sulk now.

P.S. I post a few pics to Photogasmic

Great News for Cinderella fans

I just found out that one of my favorite bands, Cinderella, will be touring this summer. Only a few tour dates have been announced so far, but the good news is that the Wisconsin State Fair is one of them. I am definitely going to see them (hopefully I can convince Coreena to go with me). I've seen them twice before and they rock. I was beginning to think that they were never gonna tour again. I also see that they just released a Greatest Hits CD and DVD. I'll have to take a look at those.

On a related topic, supposedly Tom Keifer (lead singer for Cinderella) is finishing up a solo album. I hope this actually gets released. A few years ago Cinderella was working on a new album but it fell through. Here's to hoping, I guess.
